Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week remains one of the primary tools of preventive vigilance with the focus on building awareness and re-affirming the commitment of everyone to uphold integrity in public governance. This year the CVC observes Vigilance Awareness Week from 30.10.2023 to 05.11.2023 with the theme “Say no to corruption; commit to the Nation”.

Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week is one of the tools used by the Commission to bring together all stakeholders to collectively participate in the prevention of, and the fight against corruption and to raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of and the threat posed by corruption. The CVC observe Vigilance Awareness Week from 26.10.2021 to 01.11.2021 with the theme “Independent India @75: Self Reliance with Integrity”.

Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week every year is part of the multi-pronged approach of the Central Vigilance Commission where a key stategy is to implement the policy of "Zero Tolerance against Corruption". Development and progress of the nation takes place when the individuals and organisations are vigilant in safeguarding integrity as a core value. The CVC observe Vigilance Awareness Week from 27.10.2020 to 02.11.2020 with the theme “Vigilant India, Prosperous India”.

Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), as part of its continuous effort to involve public as active participants in ensuring a "Corruption Free India”, observes Vigilance Awareness Week every year. In Tiruppur Detachment of this Directorate were observed the Vigilance Awareness Week and took oath on 02.11.2017 and 03.11.2017. A rally have been conducted by all the staff of Tiruppur detachment alongwith 250 students of Balabhavan Global High School, Tiruppur. They were distributed 7500 vigilance awareness pamphlets and affixed strickers contains vigilance awareness slogans, contact address & phone numbers of DVAC to the public gathered places like Bus Stand, Railway Station, Temples, Markets etc.-
In Trichy Detachment of this Directorate were observed the Vigilance Awareness Week and took oath on 30.10.2017 and 03.11.2017. The detachment officers have displayed the awareness boards contains contact address & phone numbers of DVAC and delivered lectures on this theme while observance of Vigilance Awareness Week at :-

INTEGRITY PLEDGE
I believe that corruption has been one of the major obstacles to economic, political and social progress of country. I believe that all stakeholders such as Government, citizens and private sector need to work together to eradicate corruption.
I realize that every citizen should be vigilant and commit to highest standards of honesty and integrity at all times and support the fight against corruption.
