Commercial Taxes

Assistant Commissioner(FAC)., Commercial Taxes Department, North-II Circle, Tiruppur and another into the allegation of demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs.2,00,000/- from the complainant for issuing Clearance Certificate (Assessment Order) to a Company which stands in the name of complainant's wife. The case was under investigation at the end of the period under review.

☆ A case was registered against an Assistant Director, Geology and Mining Department, Trichy into the allegation of demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs.5,00,000/- from the complainant for processing and issuing the Inspection report in favour of the complainant to run a stone mining quarry business at Poolancheri Village in Musiri Taluk, Trichy District. ☆ A case was registered against an Archaeological Expert, State Level Expert Committee Member of HR &CE Department, Chennai into the allegation of demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs.5,00,000/- from the complainant for processing and arranging an Inspection report in favour of Sri Prasanna Venkatajalapathi Perumal Thirukovil, Gunaseelam, Trichy District to conduct Kumbabishegam Thirupanigal. ☆ A case was registered against an Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD, Office of the Deputy Inspector General of Registration, Madurai into the allegation of demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs.75,000/- from the complainant to issue valuation certificates to three properties/buildings which are proposed to purchase by him(complainant). ☆ A case was registered against a District Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu Vaazhndhu Kaatuvom Project (TNRTP), Udhagamandalam and another into the allegation of demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs.25,000/- from the complainant for registering a company viz., Tamil Nadu Poorvagudi Tribes Farmer Producer Company containing self help groups for getting a start up fund of Rs.75,000/- for each group. Survey

☆ A case was registered against a Firka Surveyor, Hosur Taluk Office, Hosur Firka, Moranappalli village, Krishnagiri District and another into the allegation of demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs. 30,000/- from the complainant to arrange to issue individual patta in the name of his Father and Mother for five plots stood in the name his late Grandfather. The Case was under investigation at the end of the period under review.

☆ A case was registered against a Surveyor, Purasaiwakkam Taluk Office, Chennai into the allegation of demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs. 30,000/- from the complainant to issue Patta for the land registered on 27.10.2021 at Sub Registrar Office, Purasaiwakkam and forwarded the same to Purasaiwakkam Taluk Office for processing. The Case was under investigation at the end of the period under review.

☆ A case was registered against a District Manager, TASMAC, Thiruvallur West District, Kakkalur SIDCO, Thiruvallur District and another into the allegation of demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs.1,00,000/- from the complainant to issue permit to TASMAC Bar at Polivakkam as monthly bribe for running 3 TASMAC bars. Water Resources

☆ A case was registered against an Assistant Engineer, Water Resource Department, Canal Section No.2, Aliyar Basin Sub-Division, Pollachi, Coimbatore into the allegation of demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs.30,000/- from the complainant for recommending to issue No-Objection Certificate towards getting approval of the DTCP to convert his land measuring 2.52 acres into house sites/housing plots.
